Привет, как дела?
My name's Katya. I'm a Russian native from Siberia, but permanently I live in the United States. I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in East Asian Studies and in 2013 I studied two semesters abroad in South Korea. There, I first started teaching Russian to my fellow Korean friends as a part of language exchange. After that I taught Russian to foreign students of my Alma Mater Tomsk Polytechnic University until I graduated in 2015. I enjoyed teaching my native language so I used to do it for free. Here in the United States I'm pursuing teaching Russian as my career. I have obtained a certificate on how to teach Russian as a foreign language. You see, it's difficult for a native speaker to teach his or her language without proper training. Now I'm teaching at two language schools and have private classes. Still, I'm eager to meet new students and further promote Russian language and culture.
