My name is Charlie and I have an M.A. in Hispanic Studies and Linguistics, a TEFL and over 5 years of teaching experience in both the UK and Spain.
Whether your motivation for learning or improving English is work-related, to pass an exam or is simply that you have a personal interest in the language, I can guide you towards achieving your goals.
In my classes, I like to get creative by incorporating my own exercises and activities to give students the opportunity to express themselves and consolidate their understanding. I put a lot of emphasis on communication as I believe that teaching is not just talking at the student, it´s a two-way conversation. To this end, I use activities such as debates, roleplays and simulated interviews to show students real-life, practical situations for the theory taught in class. At the end, I always give some homework or task, so that you can consolidate everything we have learnt, so the learning process doesn't just stop at the end of the class.
Grammar doesn't have to be boring. With me, you won´t even realise you´re learning it, as I focus a lot on making learning fun and dynamic, using your interests and passions to recreate your world through the English language.
I always aim to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere in which my students can learn and practise English without feeling frustrated. The end goal is always that my students develop a greater confidence in themselves.
