Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile! A few things about me: I was in the military (Navy) for a year, and I've worked several other jobs over the years. I've been backpacking around Europe and Asia, and my life goal is to travel the whole world!! I like anything adventurous and fun!! I also really enjoy helping and working with others. My 3 favorite things in life.. Cats, chocolate, and coffee! I'm very understanding, extremely open minded, friendly, and easy to get along with. I lived in Italy for awhile and struggled with learning Italian while there. I don't remember much now, though, since I didn't continue to practice it. Because of this, I understand the struggles of learning a new language. My parents lived in Germany for 6 years, and I would stay with them off and on a lot. I am now hopping around different countries all over the world. My teaching style varies from person to person and even on subjects. People learn things differently. I like to teach the best way for people to understand. Take me for example, I learn best by writing things down or just doing things. I pride myself on teaching more natural English rather than 'textbook' English. Some things I use in lessons: Reading (helps improve pronunciation and builds vocabulary), giving writing assignments as homework to correct together (works on improving writing skills and grammar), picture description (works on improving sentence structure and learning new adjectives/nouns), and idiom/phrasal verb practice. I look forward to meeting you! :)

Hello! My name is Chris - I'm a highly experienced and passionate English teacher from the UK. I specialise in helping higher level students to take their English to the next level. I'll provide the support you need to meet your specific goals, whether you need to improve your spoken fluency and confidence, elevate your vocabulary, learn more idiomatic language such as phrasal verbs and expressions, identify and fix your grammar problems, improve your pronunciation or prepare for an English exam. I am a highly qualified and experienced teacher. I have now been teaching English for 9 years, and I continue to find it a hugely enjoyable, constantly challenging and deeply rewarding profession. I love my job, and I think you'll find that this comes across in my teaching! I obtained the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from International House Buenos Aires in 2010, and the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults) from British Study Centres in Oxford in 2013. I constantly seek to develop and improve my teaching. I studied Philosophy at Cardiff University, graduating with a First in 2007. I then studied for a Masters Degree in Latin American Development at the University of London, achieving a Merit in 2009. My 9 years of teaching experience has encompassed a wide range of levels from intermediate (B1) to advanced (C1) and proficiency (C2). I have taught both General and Business English, both in groups and on a 1-to-1 basis. I have also helped many students to pass the Cambridge First (FCE), Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE) exams, as well as the IELTS exam. I'm originally from North Devon (definitely the most beautiful part of the UK!) but over the years I have lived and worked in places as diverse as Oxford, Buenos Aires and Bogota. I enjoy doing lots of things, especially cooking, reading, learning Spanish, walking and running. More recently, I have been spending a lot of time looking after my baby daughter! I also love meeting and getting to know new people - this is a big reason why I enjoy my job so much.
My name is Nico and I'm American. Please see my resume for the specific details of my qualifications and experience as a TEFL teacher. I have a lot of experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults, most of whom went on to take CEFR exams (whether British Institutes, IELTS, or Cambridge). Because of this experience, and also the experience of running my own school, I have a good sense of how fast students can develop their language skills and how to keep moving forward in the process of language learning. For me, it is essential that students are well-rounded, which means they need to work on the various parts of a language – reading, listening, speaking, pronunciation, writing, and grammar. Unfortunately, a lot of students focus on one or two of these areas at school, leaving gaps in their education. It’s important to have lessons completely in English, but it does help reduce a student’s stress level at times if they are completely stuck and can revert back to their original language. In these cases, I speak Italian, if it’s of any additional help. Furthermore, knowing the common Italian mistakes often helps with Spanish and French students because at times the vocabulary and grammatical structures are similar. *Please note that I do not do two-hour lessons.
I'm a native English speaker who is currently living in the United States. I have a bachelor's degree and my TEFL certification. I have experience teaching classes and individual students.I'm available to help students from any language group. Hope to hear from you soon!
